This course is for your annual continuing education requirement.
We have a partnership with The Association of Mortgage Educators (NMLS Provider ID 1400214) to bring you this NMLS approved continuing education course. This is a convenient online course that you take at your own tempo and can stop and start at anytime.
This continuing education course includes the core topics as required by the SAFE Act: Federal law and regulations (3 hrs), ethics (2 hrs), nontraditional mortgage products (2 hrs), and 1 hr on an elective topic. The federal law portion focuses on a review of federal laws that prohibit discrimination including the Fair Housing Act, HMDA, ECOA, and CRA. The section on ethics provides a refresher of ethics, fair lending, fraud, and consumer protection topics. Our two hours on non-traditional lending will discuss suitability of non-traditional loans vs. traditional loans for particular types of buyers.
Any mortgage professional needing to satisfy their continuing education requirement. This is a completely different course than we offered in in previous years (the SAFE Act prohibits the taking of the same course in successive years) so anyone who took our 8 hr National CE course in 2015 is eligible to satisfy their 2016 CE requirement with this course.
Visit the NMLS website at mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org for details on what your state requires. If you are in one of these states we offer everything you need. Please phone us for state specific CE needs.
Upon successful course completion, your CE credits will be posted with NMLS within 3 business days. The NMLS $1.50 per credit hour fee is included in the course cost-there are no hidden fees.
